# PerfectOpponent — Privacy Policy

## 1. Who we are

PerfectOpponent ("PerfectOpponent," "we," "us") is a scheduling marketplace that helps youth sports team managers find opponents and book games. This policy explains what information we collect from the coaches, managers, club administrators, and league administrators who use the service, how we use it, and who we share it with.

## 2. Who uses PerfectOpponent

PerfectOpponent is built for and directed to **adult team managers, coaches, club administrators, and league administrators**. Accounts are created and used by adults acting on behalf of a team, club, or organization. The service is not intended for use by children, and we do not ask players to create accounts or enter their personal information.

## 3. What we collect

We collect the following, most of which you enter yourself while setting up and using your team:

* **Account information.** The email address you use to sign in. We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in, so we do not store a password for you.
* **Team profile.** Your team name, club name, age level, competitive tier, division, home rink or field (including its address and map coordinates), and your scheduling preferences (such as travel radius and the level of opponent you want).
* **Manager contact information.** Your name, email, and phone number, which become your team's contact details.
* **Scheduling data.** The slots you post, the availability windows you add, and the proposals, matches, and games you create or accept.
* **Team rating data.** Publicly available team-strength ratings, rankings, standings, performance data, and similar information obtained from third-party sources and used to help identify and rank potential opponents.
* **Notification and device data.** Notification preferences and, if you enable them, push-notification tokens.
* **Technical and usage data.** Standard information such as log data and general usage activity needed to operate and secure the service.

## 4. How we use your information

We use this information to:

* create and manage your account and team;
* find and rank potential opponents and open facilities for you;
* run the negotiation flow (propose, accept, confirm games);
* send you notifications about proposals, matches, and updates;
* use automated systems, algorithms, and machine-learning models to generate matchup recommendations, identify compatible opponents, rank opportunities, improve scheduling outcomes, and enhance the overall user experience;
* provide support, maintain security, and improve the service.

## 5. How we share your information

**With a confirmed opponent.** When you and another team confirm a game together, we reveal your team's contact details (name, email, phone) to that team's manager so the two of you can coordinate, and we show you theirs. Your contact details are not shown to teams that are merely browsing, viewing you as a candidate, or that have sent or received a proposal that has not been confirmed.

**With service providers.** We use third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting, databases, mapping services, analytics, ratings providers, and email/SMS delivery providers.

**For legal and safety reasons.** We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public.

**Business transfers.** If PerfectOpponent is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

**We do not sell your personal information.**

## 6. Your choices

* **Edit or update.** You can update your team profile and contact information at any time.
* **Delete.** You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting [support@perfectopponent.com](mailto:support@perfectopponent.com).
* **Notifications.** You can adjust your notification preferences within the application or your device settings.

## 7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. After that, we delete or anonymize it, except where we need to retain it to comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, or protect our legal rights.

## 8. Children's privacy

PerfectOpponent is directed to adult managers, coaches, club administrators, and league administrators. The manager-facing flow does not ask for or collect personal information from children.

The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [support@perfectopponent.com](mailto:support@perfectopponent.com) and we will take appropriate steps.

## 9. Mobile Device Permissions

When you use the PerfectOpponent mobile application, we may request permission to send push notifications or access device features necessary to support those notifications and related functionality. These permissions are optional and can generally be managed through your device settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit some functionality of the service.

## 10. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including passwordless authentication, encryption where appropriate, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 11. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have rights regarding access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information that we maintain about you. ## 12. Changes to this policy
